We provide discounted veterinary services for Canter, California – a rescue organization that finds homes for retired racehorses.
Being a part of the veterinary and scientific community means participating in research, publishing papers and speaking at conferences. Most recently, Dr. Textor was an invited speaker at the 1st European Comparative Symposium on Equine and Human Sports Medicine, held in Lyon, France. She has conducted research and published widely on the use of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) in horses. Dr. Textor is also currently researching wound healing in horses, in collaboration with colleagues at UC Davis.

San Ramon Valley Horseman’s Association
Dr. Textor was recently invited to speak to the San Ramon Valley Horseman’s association. It was a great evening talking on backcountry trail riding, with over 60 people in attendance. A link to the Power Point presentation from the evening is below. Beware, there are graphic pictures of open wounds in slides 10-15.
